San Francisco-based Fatsouls Records is a creation of Said Adelekan, producer, DJ and extraordinary event promoter. Following over a decade of successful event production, in 2007 Fatsouls Records emerged as an independent record label. The label’s aim is to continue to release organic and soulful dance music with emphasis on Afro Beat, Dub, Deep House, Minimal Tech and other Afro rhythms.
Following several successful releases to date, 2009 is looking to be the best year yet for this emerging independent label. Fatsouls Records recently signed Mr. Raoul K, a German-based producer from the Ivory Coast, West Africa. His first track on Fatsouls is set to be released in May 2009. Other projects in the works include “Long Story,” a new track by Said with mixes by house music veteran, Jerome Sydenham, of Ibadan Records, NY. The future promises to be very busy for this unique entity. Stay tuned for some beats.
The label is established with countless digital download music websites, including Traxsource, for its released tracks. Fatsouls Records releases are also distributed as 12” singles by Downtown 161, NY & Crosstalk, Chicago.
